Jamie Kennedy battles the Serpentine

The Couriers lifted the Club Prize for the second time in as many weeks by winning at this years Bute Cycling Weekend. Placing second in the Serpentine Hill climb Jamie Kennedy then went on to win the 2-up partnered by Jim Cusick. The weekend also saw a welcome return to competition for Barry McGurk who rode the curcuit of Bute TTT with Euan Pope. The pairing of Richie Provan and Andy McGhee rode strongly and finished well up on the sheet.  The results from Saturday were carried forward to Sunday where Barry Crumlish joined the squad for the road race enabling the Couriers to take the Club Award . Jim Gilmour completed the winning sweep by taking the  'race face' award in the hillcimb.'  this now gives Jim almost enough points to move up from 4th Cat to 3rd Cat Gurner.
