Race Round up

Posted on 21st May, 2012

Its been an action packed couple of days for the club. On Thursday evening Jamie Kennedy won the Pennyglen Hilly TT in Ayr with Jim Cusick completing a Couriers 'one two' in 2nd place.

Then on Saturday Scott Hawkins had a superb ride to finish 4th in the opening prologue of the Dundee 2 Day stage race.  Keith Laird  then went on to have a fantastic race  finishing 6th overall on GC.

Jamie Kennedy - National RR Champs

In Sundays Scottish Road Race Championship Jamie Kennedy rode strongly throughout but suffered a puncture in the finishing stages of the race which put paid to his chances of a placing.

On the Time Trial front Jim Cusick continued his recent run of good form in the Fullerton Whs 10 at Eglinton Park - beating Tam Gordon by 1 second to record 21-00. In Jims inimitable style he then set off on a 'warm down' ride - 100+ miles  - "up to Oban to pick up a van" - what a man!
