Jim Cusick takes 6th in National 10

Posted on 14th May, 2012

Jim Cusick continued his recent run of good form by posting 20:48 to take sixth place in this Sundays Scottish National 10 Champisionship.

On a cold, wet and blustery morning on Westferry Jim was among 6 riders who returned 20 minute rides- with Alan Thomson being 4 seconds ahead in 20:44.

Arthur Doyle took the win with an astonishing 20:04 beating team mate Iain Grant by just one second. Ben Peacock took Bronze with 20:09. It has been a long time since there has been such a wealth of talent and the top end of short distance time trialing in Scotland.

Paul turned up but was sufferinf a throat/chest virus, and wisely DNS.
Jam Kennedy was the same, but did start, and wasn't his usual roaring self,HIS roaring was phlegm, thankfully not aimed at the marshalls!
Bud,on the other hand, was denied a start by the Perth-based Commissaire,as he had left his licence,Sorry,BC Membership Card,at the previous weeks Boomerang Trophy!
(A Time-trial is NOT,legally,a race, therefore you do not need a Racing Licence to take part!
But you DO need Insurance, and BC membership, via Scottish Cycling, provides this! Here-in endeth the Lesson!)
