Riding on their home turf the team recorded a time of 2:15:29 to beat host club Glasgow Couriers by just 8 seconds with Lomond Roads CC taking bronze. |

Despite the torential rain there were still a few brave enough to have a crack at Shug Jamieson's long standing course record of 14:48. Jim Cusick was first up and posted a highly respectable 15:22 but even before Tam Gordon (15:32) or Chris Smart (14:58) could roll up to the start line it was the Johnstone Wheelers new secret weapon- Ben Peacock- who smashed the record with an unbelievable time of 14:35. A brilliant performance by Ben in his first ever season and a landmark new record for the first ever Georgetown Cup! What could be better?

Glasgow Couriers look on laughing as Ben accepts a bottle of Napoleon brandy for breaking the course record- if that doesn't slow him down for next year nothing will! |

Lomond Roads CC team led by Gordon Dick, Dave Barclay, Stuart Whitelaw,Scott McLellan, Paul Gareze, Nick Tryon, Brian Cameron and Tom McDonald took Bronze with a time of 2:18:48

Easily the best turned out team! - the Ivy forego their usual meticulous pre-race warm-up routine in favour of a group photo opportunity. Now thats what I call style! I just hope they dont try and poach Franco off us!

VC Glasgow South got more than their fair share of the wet conditions.

Walkers CC took the Georgetown Pie award in good spirit! |

Inverclyde Velo - Alex Hunter's team will be back next year for revenge. |

It took me ages to stick those raisins on. Made from finest Georgetown rhubarb- (probably)- the Georgetown Pie is fast becoming the most coveted award in Scottish Cycling.
